Humans

In 18th century, Darwin proposed a theory called “survival of the fittest”. This theory holds true in context of humans. We humans are the most intelligent species on earth...! Humans have used their intelligence over the years to dominate other species on earth and also dominate the fellow humans as well. We are proven as dominant to most of the species on earth. That's why, our population is ever increasing on earth.
But there's another theory, called as balance of nature theory, which says "ecological systems are usually in a stable equilibrium or homeostasis, which means that a small change, like the size of a particular population, for example, will be corrected by some negative feedback that will bring the ecosystem back to its original “point of balance” with the rest of the system".
The dominance of humans now is challenged by a negative feedback, in the form of a small virus, to bring back ecosystem back to the original point of balance.
Except humans, the needs of other animals and species for their existence are food, clean water to drink and a shelter or some kind of dwelling for protection from nature.  But due to constant evolution of humans, the greed for dominance and existence on earth lead to ever increasing demands for their living, like entertainment, exploration, travel, lavish etc.
Humans became more dependent on their gadgets than their own instincts. Thus, increasing necessity for their living and survival. The bare minimum necessity for survival are only food, clothing and shelter. Let's also include health and healthcare facilities to it, and nothing else. If humans were stuck to these principles then mother Earth would have been much happier than before.
The advent of Novel corona virus proved that a single virus, which we cannot see by naked eye can stop the whole human race from functioning and eventually lead to dominance of other species on earth, at least for some time period. Though as we know, humans are most evolved and would eventually find a way to fight Corona. But there may come a time when we would be incapable for such epidemics. This will mostly happen due to our own lifestyle, i.e.  over dependencies on medicines, gadgets, etc. leading to weakening of immune systems of humans.
Time to think and learn a lesson...!

At last he completed his work late in the evening. All the team felt relieved. One person stood up and said it’s time for celebration. So, they decided to for outing in the evening to the nearby pub. Sham straight went home and began getting ready for the party. His granny asked him where he is up to. He said the plans they did for the night in the office. His granny straight away said no to him, the reason being that he cannot eat non-veg on that day. He asked her why! she replied that it’s our ritual that we cannot eat meat on Mondays and you know it very well. He was in real dilemma now; on one side he was too excited for the party and on the other side there was granny and the rituals. First, he tried to argue with her that it’s the modern age and the rituals are very old fashioned and everyone does tha...
